Charles Lee Franklin

Charles Lee Franklin passed away May 5, 2008 in Shawnee. 
Born April 12, 1941, he was one of four children of Clifton and Willie Franklin in Lehigh, OK. 
Charles married Patsy Price of Ada in March 1968, his loving wife of 40 years.  Charles and  Patsy raised three children: Cristi Belshe and husband Farron of Shawnee and  Cody Franklin and Cura Franklin of Los Angeles, Calif.  Charles is also survived by three grandchildren, Cori, Cade and Cord Belshe; sister, June Lawson of Ada; brother, Larry Franklin of Stigler, Okla.; brother-in-law, Eddie Price of Oklahoma City; and a special aunt, Cora Miller of Sinton, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mildred Agan of Ada, OK, and his mother-in-law, Mildred Price of Shawnee, OK.
Charles received his bachelor's degree from East Central University, his master's degree from Central State University and his certificate of administration from the University of Oklahoma.  He ultimately retired as a high school administrator from Bethel High School near Shawnee, OK.  He was a member of the US Army Medical Corp from 1963 to 1965 and honorably discharged.  He was a member of the Sharon Baptist Church in Moore, OK.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Sharon Baptist Church in Moore, OK.  Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Francis, OK under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
