Ada resident Shirley Elaine Davis, 45, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at a local hospital. She was born Sept. 8, 1962, in Oklahoma City to William and Shirley Barnett Sandmann. She graduated from Wanette High School and East Central University. She married Danny Wayne Davis on June 9, 1984, in Ada. Mrs. Davis was employed for 20 years with Sandmann's Grocery and Café in Tribbey and the last two years with the payroll department with the Chickasaw Nation Enterprises. She was a member of the Oil Center Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Brenda Sandmann, and two cousins, Toni Arnold and Jessica Arnold. Survivors include her husband, Danny Davis, of the home; a daughter, Karisa Davis, of the home; a son, Clancy Davis, of the home; two sisters, Glenna Renner and husband Phil of Hernando, Miss., and Donna Boone and husband Bob of Wardville; an aunt, Beverly Arnold of Oklahoma City; cousins, Raymond Arnold II of Oklahoma City, Raymond Arnold III of Oklahoma City, and Justin Arnold of Oklahoma City; her mother-in-law, Betty Newby and husband Dearl of Ada; and father-in-law, Sam Estes of Ada; sisters-in-law, Darla Sadler and husband Eddie of Ada, Ronda West and husband Tim of Ada, Candace Driskill and husband Lloyd of Ada; brothers-in-law, Bo Estes and wife Randi of Ada, and Sammy Estes and wife Donnell of Latta; nieces, Jacy Cable and husband Denny of McAlester, Cassandra Mascorro of Dallas, Texas, Bonnie Boone of Wardville, Heather Boone of Wardville, Kacey and Kortney West of Ada, Lyra and Laci Estes of Ada, Katie and Emily Estes of Latta, and Presley Driskill of Ada; nephews, Matthew Gregson of Shawnee, PFC Tyler Sadler, Dustin West of Ada, and Landon and Lincoln Estes of Ada; a great niece, Bren Cable of McAlester; close and special friends, Ann and Tony Roberts of Ada, Joe Brummett of Macomb, Joni Nail of Ada, Donna Neely of Konawa, Glen and Judy Pinley of Ada, Shawna Busby of Joplin, Mo., and Cindy Harrison of Tribbey. Service will be 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Ada, with the Reverends James Feltner, Ron Baldridge and Glen Eaves will officiating. Burial will follow at Maxwell Cemetery. Bearers will be Mason Laxton, Clint Nickell, Tyler Hill, Tyler Snowden, Micah Mackey, and Cale Russell. Honorary bearers will be Cody Frye, Alva Rue Mackey, Toby Willoughby, Jupie Booth, Glen Pinley, Joe Brummett, PFC Tyler Sadler, Thadd Russell, Clay Young, Steve Sutton, Larry Houchins, and Todd Ray.
