Patti Bade, 48, of Shawnee, passed away Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at her home.
She was born Jan. 16, 1964, to Robert L. and Shirley Ann Wheelis (Lewis) Parker in Oklahoma City.
Patti was raised and attended schools in Oklahoma City until moving with her family to Tecumseh in 1974 where she attended Tecumseh Public Schools and graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1982.
She married David Bade on Jan. 16, 1981, in Tecumseh.
Patti attended Seminole State College and earned her associate’s degree in 1992. In 2009, she moved to Shawnee, where she has resided since.
Patti was a homemaker most of her life. She worked for the Countywide News for a short time and also worked with her daughter Kelly at the Smokehouse BBQ.
She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Patti loved movies and music, especially listening to Kelly sing “At Last.” She loved butterflies, Hot Rods, Chinese food, and traveling with Dave to his hometown of Iberia, Mo.
Patti was preceded in death by her father, Robert L. Parker.
She is survived by her husband, David Bade Sr., of the home; son, David Bade Jr., of Shawnee; daughter, Kathryn Bade, of the home; mother, Shirley Lewis, of Mustang; three brothers, Joe Parker, of Mustang, Robert Jr. and Gail Parker, of Thomas, and Tony and Peggy Parker, of Yukon; two grandchildren, Ashlyn Bade and Kylee Bade.
Visitation will begin 3 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1, and continue through service time. Service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 2, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clint Dawkins officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
