Clifford Mack "Jack" Palmer was born on Monday, April 5, 1926, in Eufaula, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 84.
Jack, the son of John Charles and Ollie May Palmer, was a 35-year resident of Prague. He married Wynema Geneva Brady on April 5, 1948 in Vernon, Texas. Jack proudly served his country with the United States Army during World War II and the 45th Infantry Division of the National Guard during the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Prague Schools where he worked as a custodian and he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Prague.
He was preceded by his parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years Wynema Palmer of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Pam Palmer of Arcadia, Richard and Sharon Palmer of Prague; grandchildren, Cliff and Jayni Palmer, Stephanie and Shaun Moore, Brock and Nancy Ward, Leslie Palmer; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Deanna Clanton and her husband, Jack of Del City.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 30, at the First Baptist Church in Prague with the Rev. Randall Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Eufaula at 2 p.m. under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.A guest book is available to share your memories on-line.
