Tecumseh resident Earl Edward English II, 66, passed away Wednesday July 28, 2010 in Oklahoma City.
He was born Sept. 29, 1943 in Shawnee to Earl Edward and Juanita A (Richardson) English. He attended Macomb High School.
He was employed at Atwoods of Shawnee and ranched at Tishomingo. He was a U.S. Army Pvt. serving in Germany.
Earl was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 69, AF & AM Elks Lodge and Deacon at Little Axe Baptist Church, Scottish Rites.
He married the love of his life, Antonia Brown on Feb.14, 1972 in Fayetteville, Ark. He was a very hard worker and devoted husband and grandfather. He enjoyed working on the farm in Tishomingo where he tended to his cattle, fished in Pennington Creek, four wheeling, and hosting annual fish fry’s with family and friends. When it came to food, he never turned down a good meal. When he was hungry it was time to eat! Being the loyal OU fan he always looked forward to taking his wife or grandkids to the OU football games. But of all enjoyments in his life, he got the greatest pleasure from being with his great grandchildren ~ as they meant the world to him.
He was preceded in death by FL and Rose English (paternal grandparents), Docia and Zelta Richardson (maternal grandparents), Earl and Juanita English (parents), and Joe Brown (son).
Survivors include his wife Toni English; sons, Chris Brown, Rickey Brown, and Travis English; daughters, Tracy English Jones and husband Tim, Angela English Franklin and husband David, and Sandra English Bradley and husband Butch; grandchildren, Elena Johnson, Chris Brown, Miranda Brown, Rachael Franklin, and Jesse Franklin; great grandchildren, Tyler Adams, Caiden Olinghouse, Kacey Gonzalez and husband Sisco, Memphis Gonzalez, and 16 additional grandchildren; sister, Shari English Pierce and husband David, Barbara English Hughes and husband Ed; aunts, Ruth Tennyson of Sapulpa, Dorothy Richardson of Lexington; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 30, at Walker Funeral Service with Ben McKee, Mark Guinn and Sonny Smith officiating. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.
