Jerry Lee Hathcock was born in Shawnee on June 10, 1933. His family was by his side when the Lord took him home on Friday, Feb. 5, 2010.
He was a very talented and artistic man. He built his own home from the ground up. He was also a wood sculpture. He sculpted the totem pole at Broadway and Highland for the city of Shawnee. He was an electrician, plumber and linesman.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, James Patrick Hathcock and Beulah Frances (Caldwell) Hathcock; three brothers, Russell, Pete and Jack; one sister, Jean Marie (Hathcock) Oldham.
Survivors include his children Tony Hathcock and his sons, Justin and wife Kathy and Tyler, all of Shawnee; Kelli Thomas and husband Tim, their children Kiri and Zeth, all of Shawnee; two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Jackson; one sister, Jo Ann (Hathcock) Holland of Tecumseh, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel.
