Marsha Nesmith, 70, passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008. She will be missed by many.
Marsha was born to Thomas Arthur and Jessie Ollar, Nov. 24, 1937, in Shawnee, and grew up with a large family of three sisters, Barbara, Glenda and Peggy and one brother, Tommy.
She had many great friends throughout her life. She had a way of capturing peoples hearts and caring about them unconditionally.
She married a wonderful man, Jerry Weimer and was blessed with a son Ronnie Weimer in 1956. Jerry's job soon brought them to Visalia, Calif., in 1958 as a manager of the Woolworth store. After the tragic loss of both Jerry and her father in 1959 she helped her mother and raised Ronnie with the care and help of friends until she met another wonderful man Ronald Nesmith. They married Dec. 16, 1961, and were blessed with twins Jeffrey and Craig in 1964. They lived in San Jose, Calif., in 1977, where they lived in the same great house for 30 years, which during that time selflessly raised and lovingly raised their granddaughter Ashley Nesmith. Marsha was a wonderful person and a loving wife, mother, and friend. She loved the lord, her church, friends, and everyone she met became like family because of her comforting and loving character. Her thirty year bout with her health was testimony to all who knew her. That includes not only her family and friends, but 20 years of exchange students from all over the world who came to know her as "mom".
Memorial service was 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, at the Community Covenant Church, 2700 El Rancho Drive, Santa Cruz, Calif..
