Minnie Belle Taylor died peacefully in her sleep in her Shawnee home, surrounded by loving family on Friday, April 23, 2010.
She recently celebrated her 95th Birthday. She will be greatly missed by her loving children, Joy Taylor, Sheree Taylor and Carl Taylor all of California.
She was preeceded in death by her beloved husband Vernon Taylor; parents, Leila and Jim Childers of Shawnee. Also her three brothers Malcom, James and Otis Childers all of Oklahoma.
Other loving survivors include eight grandchildren who adored her and were adored in return: Dan, Heather, Scott, Laura, Donna, Mark, Eric and Chris. She also leaves six great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren and many friends over her long lifetime. Special mention goes to her two daughter-in-laws, Marilyn and Sofia who were like her own daughters and also Carol Drummond, whom she called her “Okla” daughter.
Services were held Monday, April 26, at Resthaven Funeral Chapel with Elder Ruben Marquez officiating. Burial will be in Anton Texas beside her beloved husband Vernon Taylor.
