Shawnee resident Wanda June Luster died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, in Shawnee at the age of 77.
She was born April 4, 1932, in Lindsay to Jack and Sadie (Brown) Grumbles. Raised in Lindsay, she lived much of her early life at Lindsay. She attended Lindsay schools.
 In 1948 she married Thomas Luster.
 As a child, she worked helping to pick cotton and broom corn.  As an adult she worked for Opal's Answering Service as a switchboard operator.
 She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Moore. She loved fishing, dancing, playing and winning dominoes and card games with her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gene; one grandson, Benjamin Lewis; three sisters, Dorothy Shea, Daphine Neal, and Sylvia Wainscott; and one brother, James Grumbles.          
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law,  Rick and Alice Luster of Tecumseh; daughter and son-in-law,  Sharon and Sid Lewis of Magnolia, Ark.; grandchildren, Richard, Todd and Jason Luster, and Matthew Lewis; great-grandchildren, Kade, Cole, Garrett, Carter, Lillie and Maci Luster.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha with the Rev. Larry Sparks officiating.
