Billie Annette Heacock, 75, of Shawnee, died Monday, June 20, 2011, at her residence.
She was born April 7, 1936, to William King and Grace (Johnston) King in Minnesota.
She attended school in Minnesota and earned a master’s degree in art.
She married Paul Heacock on July 16, 1982.       
Billie was an artist and poet. She was skilled at crossword puzzles, great with her pets, and had a great sense of humor. She was able to find positive in every situation.   She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Richard Scott Dossey; brother, Bruce King; and a half brother.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Heacock, of the home; one son, Darl Gorum, of Shawnee; four daughters, Kim Chantler, of Little Rock, Ark., Dana Seals, of Tecumseh, Rose Seawright, of Benton, Ark., and Josey Heacock, of Shawnee; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Wava Owens, of Indiana.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, June 24, 2011, at Walker Funeral Service Chapel.
