Okay how about the rest of the story. Jo Davis’ letter 1-13 was a little off base. Obtaining the fact from on Oklahoma Insurance commissioner’s own web site. Oklahoma asked for a gradual phase in of the 80 percent requirement for the insured, 20 percent for the insurance company.

Other states receiving approval of gradual phase in, Maine, New Hampshire, Iowa, Kentucky and Harry Reid’s state of Nevada.

Oklahoma is worried about losing smaller insurance companies and the loss of jobs.

As for the Alaska, Trans Canada pipeline, could not find anything about a refinery. That state is offering $500 million for a project that is expected to cost between $20 and $41 billion to build. Alaska has a huge amount of Natural Gas and no way to moving it to market. The state wants to shore up revenues from declining oil production, create jobs and have a more reliable source of cleaner energy.

The people of Oklahoma voted in our Insurance Commissioner to protect and provide for the people of the state. If we were the only state with a problem with this requirement I may be a little alarmed, but at this point I see no problem.

If Alaska wants to give $500 million for a pipeline that’s their business, they have made a ton of money off the oil companies and I can see this project turning into a win-win for the state. I’m sick of people who want to dictate how others spend their money. I’d rather see the money going for something that will produce jobs than going into a welfare system that promotes lazy, do nothing, stupid people.
