TECUMSEH, Okla. —

 Aleisa Sherrill passed away Friday, April 17, 2009 at her home in Tecumseh, Okla. to her eternal home in heaven.
She was born Dec. 31, 1963 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Joe and Carol (Dunn) Smith.  Aleisa was raised on a family farm in Macomb and graduated in 1982 as Valedictorian from Macomb High School. She graduated in 1986 with honors from Oklahoma Baptist University with an accounting degree.  On Aug. 21, 1987 she married Brian Sherrill, having known him since they were young children.
Brian and Aleisa worked together as owners of Smith's Textane. She was the worship leader at Streams of Life Church, and volunteered as a hospital chaplain. Working with her church's outreach programs, homeschooling her children, and spending time with her husband were her greatest passions. She enjoyed writing children's books, was an excellent cook, loved to travel and her children were the focal point of her life. 
She was preceded in death by her mother Carol Smith; brother, Mark Smith; and her mother-in-law, Barbara Sherrill.
Survivors include her husband, Brian Sherrill; daughters, Stefnie Ann and Joeci Jordan Sherrill, both of the home; sons, Travis Vaughn and Blaedn Maxwell Sherrill, both of the home; her father, Joe Smith of Tecumseh; brothers, Teri Smith of Banner, Okla. and Kim Smith of Tecumseh; sister-in-law and spouse, Sherri and Brad Cantrell of Roff, Okla.; niece and her husband, Ashley and Cody Humphrey, niece, Laci Cantrell, nephews, Kyle Smith, Jeremy Smith, Brogan Cantrell and Rylan Cantrell; and her father-in-law, Larry Sherrill.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2009 at Evangelistic Center with Pastor Mark McIntosh, the Rev. Larry Sparks and Pastor Mark Guinn officiating.
