Yeah, freedom to vote
I’m so proud that I live in a democracy where I have the freedom to vote for the candidate of my choice and others have the same privilege.
Beautiful tribute
The article by Brian Blansett is a beautiful tribute to his mother this Mother’s Day. The care and concern he and his siblings show her during her illness is an example for us in showing honor to our parents in their time of need. The Christmas Story brought back good memories.
Parents step up
They say they’re going to quit selling paint and stuff to people that are under age. They will get it just like they get cigarettes, alcohol and drivers licenses that are no good. The answer is for parents to watch the children. Put them to bed at 8 or 9 at night, but that’s not happening. Read the Bible. I don’t know if there’s any answer to this mess. The kids are just running loose.
Child safety concern
I agree with the comment regarding the Shawnee Youth Baseball Association and how bad the fields are. There’s got to be something done about this because it involves child safety.
