SHAWNEE, Okla. —

The Dale Griffin family will be in concert Sunday morning to help Good Shepherd Chapel celebrate its first anniversary as a church.
Dale and Donna Griffin have three children, Graham, 11, Grayson, 14, and Evie, 9. Formerly minister of music at Northwest Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Griffin has been campus minister at Oklahoma Baptist University since 1999. Dale, Donna and their children, all pianists and vocalists, will lead worship through music. The morning message will be delivered by Graham, who recently accompanied his father to India, where he played the piano and sang before an audience of more than 12,000.
Good Shepherd Chapel is located in the former Family Life Center of Immanuel Baptist Church, 126 S. Center.  It began about five years ago as a community ministry of Immanuel, under the leadership of Dr. Bob Dawson. In September 2007, the ministry took its first steps in becoming a church by bringing on board the Rev. Lawrence Guest to serve with Dawson as co-pastor.
The public is invited to Sunday’s activities. Morning activities begin with a light breakfast at 9:30 a.m., with Bible study at 10 a.m. and morning worship at 11 a.m. Afternoon activities include recreation for children and teens, Bible study for all ages, dinner at 5:30 p.m. and evening worship at 6 p.m. The Sunday evening service will include the first baptismal service ever performed in this building, together with the first communion service. For more information, call the church at 275-5433 or 313-2125.
