SHAWNEE, Okla. —

The Gastineau family will be live in concert at Tecumseh’s First Baptist Church at 10:45 a.m. Sunday.
They will present various gospel favorites during the special Women’s Appreciation Day planned at the church. Each woman present will receive a free memento gift at the end of the service. Established in 2001, The Gastineaus, a southern gospel singing group from Ada, embraced the call to share the gospel of hope wherever God would lead. This musical family consists of James and Gaye Gastineau and their daughters, Kami and Maci.
Gaye, having previously traveled 20 years with The Celestials, brings experience and depth to her family group. Gaye is a songwriter, singer and accomplished pianist. Kami is a vocalist and her bass guitar playing sets foundation for live southern gospel music. Kami is a senior in college, majoring in elementary education.
Maci, 13 yrs old, brings youthful energy to the group. She plays several instruments but she will hear play drums and guitar at the concert. James, a 19-year veteran in law enforcement, is dedicated and committed to the success of his family’s calling. He drives the van, maintains equipment, and sets the sound.
The 2007 release of their debut CD, “Long Road Home,” opened many new doors for The Gastineaus. Their single, “Worthy To Be Praised,” penned by Gaye, is gaining attention for the family.
With the combined talents of singing, songwriting and instrumentation, The Gastineaus are poised to make their mark on the hearts of southern gospel fans.
Pastor Clark Frailey invites the public to bring special women in their lives for this free women’s appreciation event Sunday at 10:45 a.m.
Tecumseh’s First Baptist Church is located at 301 S. Broadway with Sunday morning services at 10:45 a.m.
