Sue Way of Meeker graduates today from Phillips Theological Seminary with a master of arts in ministry and culture.
Way is a candidate for diaconal ministry in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and attends St. John Lutheran Church in Shawnee. As a candidate, Way has completed her master’s degree and 700 hours of field experience work in her area of ministry: prison ministry and restorative justice. Way serves prison ministry programs through Kairos Oklahoma prison ministries and through the Commission on Prison Ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma.
Way has been an adjunct instructor at St. Gregory’s University in the physical and natural sciences department for many years. She and her husband, Gary, are also 20-year volunteer leaders with Boy Scouts of America.
