Three members of Sojourners, an evangelical group, are in Maud spreading gospel news to residents. They also will lead gospel meetings at 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at a church in Maud, South Oxford and Elm.
The five Sojourners are Bob Morrow of Harrah, Wes and Sandy Day of Oklahoma City and Carl and Barbara White of Jackson, Ala. They are joining Maud residents to knock on doors, hand out brochures, set up Bible studies and hand out DVDs. The Sojourners charge nothing to the congregation and pay for their own travel.
Frank Brewer, a preacher in Maud, said: “The Sojourners are a great example to the members of the Lord’s church in Maud. These are an unusual bunch of Christians.”
