“Awakened by God for Purpose’ topic of workshop

“Awakened by God for Purpose” is the topic of a workshop Saturday, Oct. 25, sponsored by Solid Foundations Ministry. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Character Training Institute Conference Center, 520 Main in Oklahoma City. The public is invited to attend. Cost is $35, which includes a hot buffet lunch and printed materials.
Lyn Smith of Piedmont is the featured speaker. Smith has been affiliated with Bible Study Fellowship International (BSF) in various leadership roles for the past 20 years. For the past eight years, she has delivered weekly lectures as teaching leader to groups of more than 150 women from across central Oklahoma who gather once a week for nine months out of the year. Praise and worship will be led by Julie Clifford of Oklahoma City.
“In today’s society, when so many facets of our moral culture are decaying, our desire is to bring the truth of God’s word into the broken places of families, marriages and relationships and renew hope and healing to the lives of many,” Smith said. “My belief is that as we truly raise up the age-old foundations of truth found in the word of God, then life-changing answers are discovered.”
