Volleyball tournament slated

The Sallateeska Baptist Church of Shawnee will sponsor a double-elimination volleyball tournament June 13 beginning at 9 a.m. The tournament will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church, 302 E. Independence.
There is a $60 fee to enter the tournament, and teams can have up to eight players on their rosters.
During matches, teams can have a minimum of four players and a maximum of six players on the court. There is no spiking, although a separate “spiking” tournament could be formed if six or more teams are interested.
There will be concessions on site and all proceeds from the tournament will go to benefit the 2009 Indian Falls Creek camp.
