Church softball league concludes season

SHAWNEE, Okla. —

The Shawnee Church Co-ed Softball League, made up of 12 teams, recently concluded its season.
Downtown Pentecostal Holiness Church won the regular season with a 10-1 record. The team was coached by Wade Blevins.
The teams were split into “A” and “B” divisions for round-robin post-season tournaments. Immanuel Baptist won the “A” tournament and the Temple Baptist “Titans” won the “B” tournament. The tournaments ended Tuesday evening, Aug. 26, at Dockrey Park, south of Leo and Farrall.
Participating churches and organizations were: Blackburn Chapel Baptist, Calvary Baptist, COCAA (Central Oklahoma Community Action Agency), Downtown Pentecostal, First Baptist Tecumseh, Immanuel Baptist, First Baptist Meeker, Temple Baptist “Eagles,” Temple Baptist “Titans,” Rock Creek Baptist, Sharon Baptist and Wesley United Methodist.
