Shawnee, OK —
Lori Randall, who has earned the titles of “Mrs. Christian World 2005” and “Mrs. Oklahoma-United States 2002,” will be at Wesley United Methodist Church Tuesday evening to speak to area women. She is this month’s speaker for Sisters at Heart. The gathering of women of all ages begins with supper at 6:30 p.m. and the program by Randall at 7 p.m. Sisters at Heart is a community outreach program for women of all ages.
Randall is a keynote and motivational speaker. She lives in Meeker and spends much of her time traveling to speak to groups. She said she loves to relate to the hearts of those with unfulfilled dreams and point them to a life of abundant living.
After nine years of marriage, she and her husband had two children, Rachel and Luke. After their births, Randall had severe post-partum depression and psychosis. The illness left her physically, emotionally and spiritually bankrupt.
“What could such a broken vessel possibly have to offer the world or her little family?” Randall said. She said she thought the only solution seemed to be to end the suffering by taking her own life. But in the midst of her greatest trial, God reached down and performed a miracle in her life, she said.
Supper will be potluck and snacks, provided at no charge. A love offering will be given to Randall. A free nursery will be provided during the supper and meeting. Door prizes will be given away.
Wesley United Methodist is at 302 E. Independence in Shawnee.
