A vehicles splashes through water ponding on area roadways Wednesday as rainshowers occurred off and on throughout the day and evening. At last check Wendsday night, the Shawnee area had received 1.55 inches of rainfall. Chances of rain were set to continue at 100 percent overnight. Today, there’s a 40 percent chance of more rain, with cloudy skies and a high of 76 degrees forecasted.

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) — The accomplice in an Arizona prison break said federal prosecutors broke an oral promise not to oppose a 20-year prison sentence in the murder of a couple in New Mexico, but the prosecutors said no such promise was made.
