SHAWNEE, Okla. —

Honesty's best policy

I want to thank the honest person who found my purse in the Wal-Mart basket outside and turned it in. Thank you so much. There are honest people still around today.

A sight to see

I find nothing embarrassing about the horses in the city. In fact, I found someone from out of state looking at the horses and taking pictures. I guess it is a sight-seeing event in Shawnee. So, quit talking about the horses.

Sense of pride

To the people who keep complaining about the horses placed in the city, get a life. The horses are beautiful and add a sense of pride to Shawnee. If you think Shawnee is a small-minded, one-horse town, move.

Amazing

It amazes me that our garbage carts are still sitting on the curb, line after line, street after street.

Time to step up

What’s it going to take to get residents to unite to help Shawnee become the thriving city it can be? We have the potential to be a great place. Why do we allow the political  players the power to continually hold the community back?
