Excellent Service
In the Northeast part of time we have excellent trash service. Perhaps the person who has to chase the truck every week should put his cart out the night before?
More oil, less air
We need to drill more oil. That's the answer. T. Boone Pickens, what if we run out of wind? Ever thought of that?
Trashy bridge
Am I the only one that's bothered by the trash on the Canadian river bridge. Don't we have community service or inmates that could get big brooms and clean it up? It makes a terrible impression on our town.

Way to go guys
I think it was a disgrace to see the firefighters on Thursdays front page out of uniform saving that child.
Scoopie's response: The Shawnee firefighters were attending a running and training exercise nearby when the call came in about the child. Rather than going back to the station and dressing in full uniform, they immediately responded, which put them on scene and giving care within one minute. We support the firefighters decision.
Saving money
Would the school board agree that they should switch their fuel bill? If school had started at the end of August instead of the middle they could have saved a lot of money. Did they think about that?
A cleaner place
Why do people throw trash on the street? In Beijing the pick it up one butt at a time. Don't tell me to get a job, I have several of them.
No problem
I'm a 72 year-old woman and I have no problem getting my poly cart to the street. We have wonderful trash service. They pick my trash up on time every week. Thank you Allied.
