Keep it up
To the person who is embarrassed by the horses in Shawnee, I have an idea. Get a life-size statue of yourself, made of plastic, place it downtown with the price on it, and we’ll see how much you’re worth. Businesses are buying these horses, not the city. Keep it up. Good luck, Shawnee.
Update Please
Scoopie, the city of Shawnee gave the Expo Center an extra $100,000 above its operating budget recently. The money was meant for improvements to the exterior of the orange building and to the bathrooms. Can you get us a status update of how those projects are coming along? We the public are most interested to see them completed, because those things need to be done really, really bad. Any information you could get us, and provide us an update, would be appreciated.
Make a difference
I hope people take the time to go vote in Tuesday’s run-off election. I believe it is important for us to use that right if we want to be a part of making a difference in our community. If we don’t learn about the issues and vote, we are demonstrating our apathy.
