EARLSBORO – The Earlsboro Wildcats cruised to an opening round win at their home-hosted Jim Walling Classic Thursday with a 76-37 beatdown to the Vanoss JV squad.

Down 6-4 to start the game, the Wildcats rallied with 34 unanswered points before Vanoss' Ryan Faust made it a 30-point game with 3:30 left in the half. The Wildcats could not be matched by Vanoss for the remainder. 

Kobe Smith and Kaveon Sharp each had 15 points to lead Earlsboro and Elijah Stargell had 10 points. Trenton Nadeau had 12 with four 3-pointers.

The Wildcats face Sasakwa Friday at 8:30 p.m.
