The Shawnee Lady Wolves and Dale Pirates were the big movers in this week’s rankings.

• Shawnee Girls Basketball, No. 4 in 5A. The Lady Wolves haven’t played since winning the Duncan Holiday Classic, but more voters participated this week and Shawnee climbed two spots to No. 4. They host No. 11 Carl Albert Friday in a big home game.

• Dale’s Pirates dropped jumped two spots from No. 5 to No. 3 after wins over 2A No. 14 Silo and No. 3 Talihina. The Pirates are in action Monday in the tournament finals against 3A No. 13 Kingston. Kingston beat Dale earlier this year in the OBU Tournament in a game where the fouls totals had a big effect. The rematch on Kingston’s home court should be a good one.

• Dale’s Lady Pirates remain No. 1 in 2A Basketball. They picked up two easy wins heading into Monday night’s championship game against host tournament host Kingston. The Lady Pirates handled Kingston 61-33 in the OBU tournament earlier this season. The Lady Pirates received 71 of 77 first place votes this week. They head to No. 9 Latta Friday.

 • Shawnee Boys Basketball, No. 8 in 5A – The Wolves held onto the No. 8 ranking in 5A after beating No. 17 Durant before the rest of the Ada tournament was canceled. The Wolves host No. 1 Carl Albert Friday night in the biggest game of the year, so far.

• Chandler Lady Lions, 3A No. 12. Chandler stayed at No. 12 despite back-to-back wins over Jones and Newkirk this weekend. They play 2A No. 11 Kiefer in the Ripley Tournament Championship tonight and host Meeker Tuesday before hosting Prague Friday.

• Asher’s Lady Indians stayed at No. 10 this week after beating Vanoss in the Earlsboro Tournament. They lost to Class B No. 6 Sasakwa Monday afternoon in the semifinals.

• Earlsboro stayed at No. 3 in Class B after an easy win in the first round of the Jim Walling Classic. They play Sasakwa in the semi-finals Monday night. They beat Sasakwa easily earlier this season. The Wildcats received 11 of 53 first place votes.

• Shawnee Girls Swimming, No. 4 in 5A. The Lady Wolves climbed one spot this week after another good performance last week. They are back in action Saturday at the Casady/McGuinness Invitational before conference action and Regionals.

• Shawnee Boys Swimming, No. 12 in 5A – The Wolves dropped two spots to No. 12 this week. They are back in action Saturday in their last regular season meet.

• Shawnee Wrestling 5A No. 6 Duals and No. 9 Tournament. The Wolves held onto their No. 6 ranking in duals and dropped one spot to No. 9 in tournament rankings. They host Durant Tuesday night before heading into the Carl Albert Tournament this weekend.
