TECUMSEH – Paced by a 31-point explosion by Oklahoma commit Brady Manek, fourth-ranked (Class 4A) Harrah jolted Tecumseh 83-55.

Harrah posted nine 3-point field goals, including two by Manek, to run its record to 9-3.

Tecumseh trailed 43-20 at the break but outscored the Panthers 21-12 in the third quarter.

“I challenged them at halftime and we won the third quarter,” Tecumseh coach Eric Litherland said. “They didn’t roll up. Harrah had seven 3-pointers from kids who aren’t their top two players. When their role players are hitting shots, they are a difficult team to beat.

“They had a 6-0 stretch to start the fourth quarter, but we were still fighting.”

Daniel Axton led Tecumseh with 21 points, including three treys. Ty Shields, Kameron Permetter and Anthony Billy knocked down two treys apiece.

Tecumseh was hot from 3-point range at 10 of 18 for 55.5 percent.

Tecumseh (6-7) will travel to Seminole Saturday.
