BETHEL ACRES – Kirsten Winters got the Lady Wildcats out to an early lead to easily deposit the OKC Lady Knights 52-37 Tuesday night.

Winters dropped five treys and had 17 first quarter points to get the Lady Wildcats off to a 23-5 lead.

“I'd liked to have finished it a little cleaner but we'll certainly take it,” coach Curt Knox said. “We had a good start. That was the key to the game.”

The two teams struggled in the second with five points apiece and Bethel went into the half with a 28-10 advantage.

The girls found their groove again in the third as Abbie Mohr sent the Lady 'Cats down a 7-0 run capped by Kennedy Gregory to move ahead 35-10 with less than five to go in the quarter.

The teams traded points in the fourth before OKC closed out with a 7-0 run.

Winters led all scorers with 19 points, Delsigne had 11 and Harley Gregory had eight.

The Lady Wildcats (9-8) will host 2A-No. 9 Latta (14-5) Friday for their homecoming game.
