The final rankings of the year were released for 5A and 6A Monday and only the Shawnee Lady Wolves moved at all.

• Shawnee Girls Basketball, No. 3 in 5A – A great week of wins over Carl Albert and Shawnee was just enough to propel Shawnee from No. 4 to No. 3 in the final rankings of the year. The Lady Wolves began the year at No. 1 but they had to adjust to the loss of Monica Brooks inside and dropped to the lower half of the Top Ten before consistent wins pushed them higher in the polls. The difference between No. 3 and No. 5 was razor thin. Shawnee had 396 points from the 25 voters. Piedmont, who Shawnee hosts on Valentine’s Day squeezed past Ardmore into the No. 4 spot with 398 votes to the Lady Tigers’ 388 points. The Lady Wolves will play at Western Heights tonight and at Chickasha on Feb. 10.

• Shawnee Boys Basketball, No. 6 in 5A – The Wolves’ played better than their 0-2 record would show last week.
