BETHEL ACRES — Bethel’s basketball squads dropped a doubleheader to Beggs Tuesday night.

In the girls’ game, Begss scooted out to a 38-18 intermission advantage on the way to a 56-40 triumph. Bethel outscored Beggs 18-9 in the fourth quarter.

Abbie Mohr fueled Bethel’s offense with 13 points. Kirsten Winters added 11.

Bethel fell to 10-11.

Boys

The host Wildcats appeared in good shape after racing to a 15-7 lead after the first quarter. But Beggs fought back within 28-27 at the half, then outscored Bethel 40-25 in the closing 16 minutes for a 67-57 victory

Anthony Franklin, a sophomore, constructed 24 points for Bethel. Senior Ethan Fry added 11 and sophomore Peyton Dees added 10.

Bethel stands at 4-17.
