OKLAHOMA CITY — Eight Shawnee players found the scoring column Tuesday night as the Wolves chalked up a 69-55 triumph over Western Heights.

Junior guard Ramey Harrison contributed 19 points, 10 of which came in the second half as the Wolves outscored the hosts 43-31.

Chase Morris, also a junior, added 15 points, including a 5 of 6 effort at the line. Shawnee sparkled at the charity stripe, connecting on 17 of 20 attempts for 85 percent.

LJ McKissick and Carson Meier of Shawnee scored 9 and 8 points respectively.

Western Heights had three players finish in double figures but only two other players scored.

Shawnee held a 26-24 intermission lead. The Wolves outscored Western Heights 23-14 over the final eight minutes as seven players scored.

Shawnee 11-6 and ranked sixth in Class 5A, will continue a road swing Friday night at Chickasha. Shawnee will also play a Feb. 13 road game with Carl Albert.

Girls

Class 5A third-ranked Shawnee jumped ahead 27-13 by halftime on the way to a 58-23 blistering of Western Heights.

Ashley Kasterke, a Shawnee sophomore, had a banner overall game with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.

Senior Logan Bonner tied fo the Shawnee scoring honors with 14.

Kyla Tarpey of Shawnee was also in double figures with 11 points. She added 3 rebounds.

Kasey Rice, junior, posted a team-high 11 rebounds to go with 5 points.

Shawnee, 13-5, will play Friday night at Chickasha.
