EDMOND – The indoor track season continued Saturday, as the Shawnee boys beat out Weatherford 137-128 for first place and the Lady Wolves posted a 76-point second place finish between Plainview with 102 and Bishop McGuinness with 70.

Parker Jones kicked things off for the Shawnee boys with a 7.86 first place finish in the 55-meter hurdles as teammate Kylan Hernandez finished third with a time of 8.32. Hernandez also took second in the 400 dash with a time of 54.55.

Colby Chamblin topped the boards in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:04.47, and Clifford Littleton (4:53.61) and Jay Easley (5:00.50) took second and third in the 1600. The A relay team posted a 2:46.02 for first in the 1280 relay, 1:16.86 to top the 640 and third in the 4x800 with a 9:04.26.

The boys reigned supreme in the fielding events, with first place finishes in the long jump and pole vault; both by Christian Patterson. Patterson glided 20 feet in the long jump and went up 16 feet on the pole vault. Jones took second in the pole vault at the 15-foot mark, Marshall Mathers took fifth and Braden Barlean came in sixth.


Shyra Crowley saw two strong finishes for the Lady Wolves with a first place time of 8.72 seconds and topped the long jump with a 16-03 distance ahead of teammate Kaleigh Simmons at 15-07.

The girls' A relay team took second in the 640 (1:27.52), Ania Sloan finished second in the high jump (4-06), and Haley Wood posted a 10-06 in the pole vault for third.
