SEMINOLE — Seminole amassed 11 hits Monday but still dropped a 15-11 decision to Pauls Valley.

Gus Greenwood ripped a grand-slam home run and a single for five runs batted in. Cade Hammond posted two singles for the Chieftains.

JT Brockhaus, Trevor Brinker and Luke Weick had a double apiece.

Pauls Valley scored in all seven innings while accumulating 14 hits. Seminole was also guilty of four errors.

In a game last Thursday, Cal Howard tossed a route-going five-hitter as Seminole nipped Okemah 2-1.

Howard fanned 13 batters and walked one in seven innings. He threw 94 pitches with 71 going for strikes.

Okemah scored its run in the top of the first, followed by two Chieftain runs in the bottom of the frame.

Both Seminole runs were unearned as the result of Okemah’s only error.

Weick, Jordan Rodriguez and Will Cotner posted a single apiece for Seminole with Rodriguez driving in a run.

Seminole’s joy didn’t last too long as Harrah engineered a 12-3 win over the Chieftains.

Seminole was credited with six errors and recorded just three hits, including a double by Weick.

Okemah scored six runs in the sixth inning.
