TECUMSEH – It was another easy day at Tecumseh High School Monday night as the Lady Savages beatdown Harrah 12-1 and Little Axe 10-0 to move to 8-0 on the season.
Up 7-0 in the bottom of the fourth against Little Axe, Taylor Walker doubled out to left field to bring in Maci Chapline, Caitlin Bingham and Franki Hull and call it a game on the run-rule.
Franki Hull hit a sacrifice to center to bring home Carly Scallorn and Channing Scallorn hit an RBI single to right to get the Lady Savages out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. The girls went on a five-run rally in the third to increase their lead.
Walker was 2-for-3 in the game and Hull went 2-2 with two RBIs.
The girls started their day with a 12-1 victory over Harrah, scoring five runs in the first and third and two in the second. They never had to bat in the fourth.
Hull doubled and tripled in the game and drove in four runs and Bingham went 3-3 with two doubles and three RBIs.
A bases loaded double from Bingham in the bottom of the third extended the Lady Savages' lead to 10-1 and Hull followed up with a double right after to drive in Bingham and Annie Boatman.
The undefeated Lady Savages travel to Blanchard tonight to face Blanchard and Washington. Coach Perry Wilson is eager to see how his girls match up.
“Looking forward to that and just playing with a lot of confidence right now,” he said. “They're hitting the ball well, playing great defense... they're competing every day. That's what you want to see.”
