DALE – The Lady Pirates of Dale cruised through three games with a combined score of 50-1 Wednesday to move on to next week's regional tournament. The girls beat Mounds 8-0 and Keiffer 18-1 and 24-0 and notched 15 home runs on the day.

Dale opened the day against Mounds, putting on eight runs on 14 hits. Lacey Hood, Delanie Manning, Dani Manning and Sara Lock each cranked out a homer and Lauren Hood had two hits with a double.

Delanie drove in seven runs on two homers and three hits total in the 18-1 win against Keiffer and Lauren Hood duplicated those stats to bring around four runs. Mikayla Rutland homered and had two hits to drive in two runs.

The Hood sisters and Rutland had two homers apiece against Keiffer in their second game. Lacey finished the game with five RBIs, Rutland had four and Lauren added two.

The 33-3 Lady Pirates (No. 1 in Class 2A) will travel to Chandler Monday to face the seventh-ranked in 5A Lady Lions. They will play in a regional tournament next weekend with pairings and location expected to be announced Monday.
