MIDWEST CITY — Class 2A Dale edged Class 5A Carl Albert 4-3 in a Thursday matchup marred by eight errors — four by each squad.

Dale proceeded to score the winning run in the fourth.
Scout Capps, Dale’s five-hole hitter, unloaded a two-out solo home run in the third for the 3-1 lead. Teammate Bryce Crawford had a double in the game.
Gant Hathcock went 3 for 4 to head a nine-hit Dale attack.
Starter Jake Bigham of Dale gave up four hits and three runs (one earned) in three innings. Bigham was touched for four hits, including a home run, and three walks. He fanned three.
Reliever Blake McQuain, who went the final four innings and picked up the victory, was splendid, striking out three without allowing a walk.
