Coaches gave their suggestions for the 2018 and 2019 football season class realignments Thursday, the Tulsa World reported.

Shawnee was aligned to District 2 of the Class 6A, Division II grouping. That will put them into a district with Barlesville, Bixby, Booker T. Washington, Muskogee, Ponca City, Sand Springs and Sapulpa.

Outside of their district schedule, the Wolves will open up in a zero-week game against Choctaw, meet Guthrie in Week 2 and finish non-district play against Carl Albert in the fourth week. The third week is open.

The OSSAA board of directors will vote on whether or not to approve the suggestions on Aug. 9. Shawnee is expected to be approved as a Class 6A school at that time after the tentative ADM released by the OSSAA last week showed them making the jump from a 5A school.
