BYNG – The Prague Lady Devils came away with a championship win in the Byng/Konawa Back to School Classic with a 2-1 victory over Byng Saturday.

The Lady Devils went hitless for the first five innings before Byng's Molly Rainey had her perfect game come to an end in a flash with two walks and a Josi Goodman bunt for a single to load up the bases with one out.

Beth Denney grounded into a fielder's choice to bring in Jaycee Johnson from third and Rachel Rumsey singled to right to score Goodman and go up 2-1.

Denney gave up four hits and one unearned run from the circle. She gifted Byng four walks and struck out four batters.

Rainey struck out 12, with Denney and Rumsey being fanned twice before getting their big hits.

The Lady Devils (5-1) will travel to Dale (5-0) Monday at 4:30.
