SHAWNEE – Sierra Price gave Tecumseh a walk-off win Friday in a 9-8 victory over Ardmore in the second day of the Chisholm Trail Classic at FireLake Ballparks.
Price hit a double to center to drive in G Jordan for the win. It was the senior's only hit of the game, but the one that counted most.
Down 4-0 in the bottom of the third, the girls rallied with seven runs helped on walks and errors, including three runs scored on a hit from Channing Scallorn to go up 7-4 for their first lead of the game.
Ardmore hit a pair of doubles for two runs in the top of the fourth, but another Ardmore error allowed Kalie Johnson to make her way home and tie back up at 8 in the bottom of the inning.
Tecumseh had six hits with Haylee Alexander as the only multi-hit batter on a pair of singles. All but one of the Lady Savages' runs were unearned.
Colbie Meeks gave up four runs on five hits before being replaced with one out in the third. Scallorn pitched the remainder and gave up four runs on four hits.
Tecumseh (2-1) will face Bridge Creek today at 11:30 a.m. and the Dale JV team at 1:00 p.m. to finish the tournament. They were originally slated to play Bridge Creek Friday, but weather forced some changes in the tournament schedule.
