BETHANY — Three McLoud performers finished with four hits Thursday as the visitors blitzed Bethany 16-1.
McLoud scored in five of six innings, including a six-spot in the sixth.
Callie Cardin, Katelyn Hoover and Shayann Shipman all went 4 of 5. Cardin smashed two doubles, Shipman had a triple and double and Hoover netted a double as McLoud broke over the .500 mark at 9-8.
Lexi Boyer went 2 of 4 with a triple.
Pitcher Gabby Sears was the recipient of McLoud’s 16-hit attack. Sears (8-5) was touched for just four hits. She registered five strikeouts and didn’t give up a walk.
McLoud will be idle this weekend before traveling to Holdenville Monday. McLoud will oppose Okemah and Holdenville.
Tuesday, McLoud will entertain Chickasha at 5 p.m.
