Shawnee was limited to four hits Thursday as Pryor registered a 3-1 victory in opening-round action of the Shawnee Tournament at FireLake.
Pryor, scoring two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth, led 3-0 before Shawnee scored in the sixth. Sadie Smith’s single drove in Tatum Sparks, who reached base via a single.
Skyla Copeland and Tiara Blackshire had a single apiece for Shawnee as it dropped to 3-4.
Losing pitcher Baylie Enright, who went seven innings, dropped to 2-3.
Shawnee will continue tournament play today with a 10 a.m. game versus McAlester on Field No. 4 and a 4 p.m. contest against Woodward on Field No. 3.
The tournament will run through Saturday.
