SHAWNEE – Bethel lost a close game against Coweta 2-1 Saturday before crushing McAlester 8-0 on the final day of the Shawnee Invitational at FireLake.

Coweta scored on an RBI double for the walkoff win in the bottom of the seventh as Jordyn Zachary was one out from the loss to send the game into extras.

Zachary gave up six hits and one earned run and struck out eight. She pitched the complete game and also allowed an RBI single in the bottom of the first.

Reanna McGowen scored on a passed ball for Bethel's only run of the game in the top of the first.

Maylin Hladik pitched the Lady Wildcats to a two-hit shutout against McAlester.

Rayah Mayo went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs to lead the offense. Mya Green was 3-3 with two RBI and a double, Karlie Lamb had a double and McGowen was 2-4 with two RBI.

The Lady Wildcats (9-7) host Bishop McGuinness Monday at 5.
