PRAGUE – Prague finished the final day of their home tournament with a couple of losses to Kellyville and dominating win against Chandler.The Lady Devils were shut out by Kellyville 5-0 in their first meeting of the day and ended with a 14-5 loss.

The girls got six hits in their first game against Kellyville but could not find a run. Beth Denney gave up five runs on seven hits, including two homers, and struck out seven batters.

A two-run single scored Karsyn Coleman and Denney in the top of the first of the second game the two played against each other, but the lead was short-lived.

Denney gave up a homer to lead off the bottom of the inning and cut the lead in half and a one run single tied up at 2. Kellyville catapulted ahead with a three-run blast in the bottom of the second but Rachel Rumsey countered with a three-run shot of her own in the third to bring in Denney and Addison Auld and tie back up at 5.

Denney gave up anoter three-run homer in the third and a grand slam in the fourth.

Eleven of Kellyville's 14 runs were earend on 14 hits against Denney. She walked three and struck out one.

Denney struck out five and gave up one run on six hits to Chandler in Prauge's 10-1 win over the Lady Lions.

Rumsey homered twice off of Makalyn Herring with a two-run shot in the second and a three-run blast in the third and was 3-3 for the game. Josi Goodman went 3-3 and had an RBI double in the fourth.

Kylee Lynch went 2-2 for Chandler and doubled to lead off the fourth. Hannah Anderson was 2-2 as well and drove in Lynch on a single in the fourth for Chandler's only run of the game.

Herring pitched 2 2/3 innings for Chandler and gave up nine runs on eight hits and struck out two before being replaced by Kelsey Williams.

Prague will be on the road all week with a stop in Purcell at 5:00 p.m. Monday and Stroud at 4:30 Tuesday. They will be in the Tushka Tournament over the weekend and host Meeker September 5, at 4:30.
