HOLDENVILLE — Junior Gabby Sears threw a five-inning perfect game against Okemah Monday as McLoud prevailed 8-0.
Sears was also the winning pitcher in a 5-1 decision over Holdenville.
Against Okemah, Sears retired all 15 batters, including two strikeouts. Only two balls were hit out of the infield.
McLoud, the home team, collected seven hits in the 4 ½-inning game. Katelyn Hoover and Lexi Boyer went 2 for 3 with two singles.
Opposite Holdenville, Sears gave up just one hit in the first four innings. She had three strikeouts and four walks.
Karlee Higdon retired the side in order in the fifth. Shyann Shipman gave up one run, one hit and fanned four in two innings. She walked two.
Hoover, Shipman and Boyer all had a double and single against Holdenville. Callie Cardin added two singles in the nine-hit attack.
McLoud, 11-8, will entertain Chickasha at 5:30 today. McLoud will travel to Meeker Thursday for a 4:30 test.
