TECUMSEH – It was an easy day at the ballpark Tuesday for Tecumseh as they cruised by Bishop McGuinness with a combined 27 runs to zero in a double-header Tuesday night. They played five and a half innings total through the night.
The girls put up seven runs in the first and eight in the second inning of game one and drove in 11 runs in the first inning of the second game.
Annie Boatman and Taylor Walker each homered in the first game and Harley Sturm hit a triple. KJ Johnson and Shaelee Cranford both doubled.
Walker tripled and Channing Scallorn had a double in the second game.
Johnson, Walker and Sturm each had three hits and drove in four runs.
Colbie Meeks and Hannah Fritzell combined for a no-hitter in the first game and Meeks fanned four batters. Sturm and Lacy Howell banded together for a no-hitter in the second game and Sturm struck out two.
The Lady Savages will host Blanchard Thursday at 6:30.
