ASHER – The Lady Indians of Asher split games with Wanette and Varnum Thursday. The girls lost to Varnum 15-10 in their early game and returned for a 14-3 win over Wanette in a night cap.

The girls fell behind Varnum 6-1 in the fourth before rallying with four runs in the bottom of the inning to make things interesting. Jordan Odell, Braxton Frazier and Bailey Larman each singled to drive in a run and Vic Frankovich also scored. Laney Riggle hit a two-run double in the fifth.

Larman and Frazier were each 3-for-5 and Rayanna Cheatwood, Sarah Fleming and Mikayla Lehman had two hits apiece.

Odell was handed the loss on the mound. She gave up 15 runs on 21 hits, struck out two and walked one.

The girls earned all 14 of their runs in their game against Wanette in the first inning. Lehman led the way with a double, a single and three RBI's and Odell had a double and a triple and drove in two runs. Cheatwood and Shelby Dixson each also had a double.

Odell threw a perfect one inning pitched and was replaced by Gracy Hadley for three innings.

Asher will travel to Maysville Tuesday at 5:30.
