Bethel lost a pair of road games to Jones Thursday night, 7-5, 4-2 in a double-header.

Rian Gamble drove in both runs in the first game with a lineout to center in the second and an RBI single in the fourth that tied the game at 2.

Jones got off to an early start with a two-run homer in the bottom of the first and took the advantage again with a pair of sacrifices in the fourth.

Maylin Hladik allowed only four hits but was handed the loss.

Trailing 3-1 after four innings if the second game, Bethel rallied with four runs in the top of the fifth to take the advantage, 5-3.

Gamble scored on an error to get within one run of Jones and Maya Green singled to right to score Hladik and Reanna McGowen for the 4-3 advantage. Jordan Zachary singled to bring in Karlie Lamb, but Green was tagged out at home trying to stretch out another run.

Jones tied up again in the bottom of the inning with a two run blast and retook the lead on an error that allowed two more runs to score.

Zachary threw the complete game and gave up three hits, struck out five and walked four.

Bethel will play host to Shawnee, Tuesday at 4:30.
