LATTA – Dale put up five runs in the top of the seventh, but that wasn't enough to overcome a seven run deficit in a 7-5 loss to Latta in the second day of the Latta Tournament Friday.
Blake McQuain was the first to spoil the shutout with a single to center to drive in Cooper Hunt and start the late rally. Scout Capps and Drew Reed each drew a free base for two more runs, Bryce Crawford hit into a fielder's choice to bring home McQuain and Capps scored on an error.
Crawford finished 2-4 as the only member of the team to accrue more than one hit and Drew Reed was walked twice.
Crawford got the start on the mound and pitched 3 1/3 innings to walk four and give up four runs. Hunt replaced him and gave up three runs on five hits.
