PRAGUE — Thanks to two fourth quarter touchdowns, the John Graham coaching era at Prague is off to a 2-0 start.

Down 30-20 to Lincoln County rival Meeker entering the final quarter, Prague received a 72-yard Jake Schultz scoring reception and a 57-yard touchdown catch from Calvin Boyce to thwart the Bulldogs.

Both teams struggled with their rushing attack — Meeker gaining 98 yards on 32 carries while Prague netted 89 yards on 33 attempts.

Meeker, in its season opener, received 244 passing yards from Jacob Martin, including three touchdowns. Martin also had a 17-yard TD run in the third quarter.

Junior Dawson Stansberry had TD receptions of 22 and 80 yards, the latter giving the Bulldogs the 30-20 advantage.

Sophomore Dakota Gabbert of Meeker opened the game’s scoring with a 78-yard reception.

Prague senior running back Calvin Boyce was outstanding with two running touchdowns — 25 and 9 yards — and scoring catches of 33 and 57 yards.

Meeker led 16-12 at the intermission.

There were no turnovers in the contest.

Prague, which defeated Chandler in its season opener, will be home again Friday for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff against Luther.

Meeker will be in action Friday at Chandler. The Bulldogs will launch their home campaign Friday, Sept. 15 versus Okemah.

Prague played without senior standout Ray Embry due to an injury.
